That said, I'm very happy with the way things are turning out. It's true, I don't have a job yet and need very much to find one within the next week or two. Though I've been looking and applying nearly every day, I have saved most of my time and energy for indulging other interests. I haven't even begun to exhaust my resources.

I am now stationed in Seattle, where it doesn't actually rain all the time. These recent days have been spent exploring the city and plotting long jogs around small parks as well as where we ought to meet some interesting people to befriend. Meanwhile, the job hunt continues.

The Pit of Babel

Es muß ein Fortschritt geschehen...
Wir graben den Schacht von Babel.
Some progress must be made...
We are digging the pit of Babel.

I am Katie Sharrow-Reabe and I am interested in structural and social architecture. Linguistic and cultural translation. Progress through retrospection. Subliminal and subterranean connections. And I would like you to help me put these fragments into a hole.

Hi Kate, just read some of your blog and I,m jealous, you sound like your enjoying yourself and being motivated and fortunate enough to be able to follow your dreams, unlike most people who become older and say I always dreamed of.......... but..........has got to be a good feeling.
I absolutely love reading your blog. I also read it when you were in France and your writing is consuming, it comes alive, and I can imagine myself there. But I'm sure you've heard that before. Your Dad will be sending you some money this week, and I will donate just to read your blogs:) My Bog is firefli.blogspot.com. I will keep you up to date on our exciting lives. I started blogging a couple months ago on a different site and am kinda hooked. We went to Bay Harbor boat show last weekend, and your dad is talking about buying a boat, sell the big Whaler and get something a little bigger, more comfortable etc. But that probably wont happen this year. yesterday was Summer soltice ( first day of summer, but what I want to know is when did spring start? My nieghbor and I planted a vegatable garden. going good so far due to all the rain we've had. I am taking a silver clay class next week. I was getting bored with beading and started working with polymere clay making beads. Its getting more and more expensive, But than again I dont buy big toys like boats.
I'll be blogging again soon, stay safe and dont behave too much. Have a blessed week. Susan
